Night Colour Technology
Night Colour technology works differently than the technology used in Starlight cameras. Cameras that incorporate Night Colour technology use a high-performance sensor and ISP, and an achromatic large aperture lens, to produce crisp, clear colour images in low-light environments. This light-sensitive technology allows the camera to remain in Colour Mode and to capture more available light to reproduce colour images with superior detail and contrast in applications with at least 1 lux of ambient or artificial light.
Unlike Starlight Technology, Night Colour Technology does not utilize an IR Cut filter. This results in an image that remains in colour 24/7 without switching to black/white. Night colour also utilizes an Achromatic lens. This type of lens is a combination of concave and convex pieces of glass that focuses the different colour wavelengths of light into a single plane. An Achromatic lens eliminates the problematic chromatic aberrations and is the most cost-efficient means for good polychromatic imaging. Dahua Night Colour cameras also have an f-stop of 1.0 on 2MP models or 1.2 on the 4MP models to deliver crisper and clearer full-colour images in all environments with at least 1 lux of ambient light.
Similar to Starlight Technology, Dahua’s Night Colour Technology utilizes Back-illuminated CMOS technology. STARVIS™ sensors offer a set of optical features to balance light throughout the scene, resulting in clear images in dark environments. A back-illuminated structure increases the amount of light that enters each pixel and moves the sensor’s photosensitive surface closer to the light. It also utilizes Smart Image Signal Processing to convert an image into digital form while performing operations that enhance the image or extracts useful information. ISP identifies and corrects imperfections caused by the lens, colour filter, or sensor.

System Overview
The Dahua Network Security System provides all the components to quickly install, configure, and employ a complete video surveillance solution. The IP cameras offer the clarity of 4K video, and the NVR offers built-in motion detection algorithms, alarm triggers, and customized recording modes. The NVR also features Plug and Play technology to connect quickly to cameras on the same network. Each component accepts a PoE power supply to facilitate installation.

Starlight Technology
For challenging low-light applications, Dahua’s Starlight low light Technology offers best-in-class light sensitivity, capturing details in low light applications. The camera uses a set of optical features to balance light throughout the scene, resulting in clear images in dark environments.
Intelligent Video System
IVS is a built-in video analytic algorithm that delivers intelligent functions to monitor a scene for Tripwire violations, where a target crosses a user-defined line and the camera quickly and accurately responds by triggering an alarm. Working with IVS-enabled IP cameras, the NVR recognizes and records video that contains IVS data on all IP channels.
Smart IR
With IR illumination, detailed images can be captured in low light or total darkness. The camera's Smart IR technology adjusts the intensity of camera's infrared LEDs to compensate the distance of an object. Smart IR technology prevents IR LEDs from whitening out images as they come closer to the camera. The camera's integrated infrared illumination provides high performance in extreme low-light environments up to 30 m (98 ft).
